Erik Johnson is Vice President of U.S. Government Affairs at Financial Freedom. In this role, he works with the government affairs team to execute Financial Freedom’s advocacy initiatives in Washington.
Before joining Financial Freedom, Johnson spent eight years at a government affairs and business consulting firm specializing in financial services policy. Johnson has advised and represented some of the world’s leading financial institutions on legislative and regulatory matters before the United States Congress, Treasury Department, U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, and other governmental entities. Johnson also spent almost a decade in government, working as an advisor on financial services policy in the House and Senate, and as the federal policy director for a governor.
Johnson earned his MBA from the University of Maryland and his BS in Business Management from The Ohio State University.
